This year was terribly exciting or awfully underwhelming depending on who you talked to about it. Here's our final thoughts on this year's E3!
For the first time ever, I made a E3 Predictions Bingo card. And apparently I did well.
We rate the cards you guys submitted before going over mine and then letting Matt lay down his own predictions based only on the floor plan o.O
Shine on and enjoy E3 2019!
Just a quick episode on our thoughts of what is to come for the back half of 2019 and all of 2020 for Fighting Games. Matt is convinced a winter is coming - but I'm holding out hope that there will be surprises at E3!
For legal reasons, we could not include the songs in the actual podcast but there is a youtube playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXEmGfsFKKYkWGBsvpq0OHDFeGtTC1bIz
Enjoy and Shine on!
Ever buy a piece of game related merch that you ended up regretting? Seen some game merch that made you cringe? What about game merch you love and don't regret buying? Maybe something you'd definitely save in a fire?
Let's talk about it!
In today's episode we talk about what we would like to go back and change in our gaming lives while growing up. Games we wish we would have played, or systems we wish we would have owned or avoided and why.
This episode was suggested by Emneon, on Patreon. Thanks dood!
With e3 fast approaching, we wanted to do a fun evergreen episode before the storm of news, and announcements that inevitably come this time of year.
Let me know what your beloved, but hated, games are on twitter!
MK11 released and it looks cool, has a badass story mode, and pretty damn good online!
It also has what seems to many to be the most atrociously tedious (and maybe predatory) system for unlocking new costumes, brutalities, and other such content. So we do a deep dive into MK11's release and reception!
Originally this episode was titled PS5 & Salty B's but I toned it down for iTunes.
That'll be a lot funnier once you listen to the episode.
CONTROVERSY!
And other buzz words!
Do you like hard mode? Do you think easy mode ruins games? This is for you.
A story about real game journalism, and why companies fight so hard to prevent it.
Featuring Bioware, EA and Anthem!
Did Nintendo change the MF game!? Sony drops out of E3 and puts on a (sorta lame) direct. But then maybe Sony changed the game cus now Nintendo is releasing a Switch Pro (probably). Oh and now Apple is in both the video streaming AND cloud gaming racket.
In a surprise to no one, Google confirmed their new gaming platform is cloud based.
They're calling it: The Netflix for games.
But with a stupid name. And ambiguous pricing. And probably a load of data mining.
Then we talk about the Nintendo Indie Direct (Nindie Direct).
Is Google cannonball-ing into the gaming world? Next week we'll know for sure, but right now we speculate as to whether there's room for four consoles.
I almost named this episode "RE Worst to Burst"
But I didn't.
You're welcome.
Now that the remake is out and we have all had time to digest, we wanted to discuss where it ranks. What better way than to rank all the mainline games, including remakes and originals!
Shine on!
THQ Nordic PR blunder or master plan? Titty Jiggle! And Bouncy Pokemon in glorious 3D!
Let's do it!
First: A conspiracy theory.
Then: Our thoughts on the current state of triple A games.
This is a tale of corporate douche-foolery, heroic leadership, Nintendo's pretty good direct, and Pornhub.
Like ten minutes of Pornhub.
Just talking about it.
For ten minutes.
ENJOY!
Year end financials have been released and the winners are... not surprising. But there is one interesting twist - Apex Legends. Lets discuss.
With RE2R and KH3 coming out, it was easy to almost miss the news: Gamestop stock plummeted to 2005 levels. Why? Because they couldn't find anyone to sell to. This could spell the end of Gamestop - and how bad would that be?
With games constantly being updated post launch, are game scores, or even their reviews - particularly relevant?
Today's episode is pretty long, and I might even rant a little.
Shine on!
Today we talk the scummy ish that happened in the last week. From Randy Pitchford to the dangers of some creep at ALA.
Let's go!
Let's talk Next Gen. Specifically what quality of life improvements we want to see.
Starting the new year off right, with an in person episode! Its been a while since we recorded in person, so we wanted to start the new year off with a positive (mostly) and fun free form conversation of what we are looking forward to this year.
Shine on doods!
